Aerosmith, along with special guest Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, will join forces for the Let Rock Rule tour this summer, beginning on July 10 in Wantagh, NY. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, April 12. Aerosmith's North American summer dates will follow the band's overseas trek, which kicks off May 14 in Istanbul, Turkey and will hit 16 countries including stops in Russia, France, and the U.K. before wrapping July 2 in Kiev, Ukraine.
"Looking forward to inciting a riot and building the tribal bonfire even higher--it's a win win with Slash," commented Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler. Slash added, "Aerosmith is one of my all time favorite bands, and one of the greatest rock & roll bands of all time. It's an honor for me to go out and tour with them and keep the rock & roll banner flying high."
On Tuesday, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry revealed on the Ryan Seacrest radio show that they would perform a free set to announce the Let Rock Rule tour. Then, Aerosmith and Slash hit the stage at the Whisky A Go Go, the historic Los Angeles venue where Aerosmith performed their first L.A. gig in 1973.
