Coldplay has announced a handful of intimate live shows in support of their upcoming album, Ghost Stories. The band will play Cologne, Germany on April 25; New York City on May 5; Los Angeles on May 19; Paris on May 28; Tokyo on June 12 and London on July 1. Ghost Stories will be out May 19. The band will also appear on Saturday Night Live on May 3, with Andrew Garfield hosting.

Forbes has released its latest list of the wealthiest rappers, and Sean "Puff Daddy (a.k.a. Diddy)" Combs is at #1, with $700 million. The magazine suggests that his Revolt TV project could boost Combs to becoming Hip-Hop's first-ever billionaire one day. Dr. Dre was ranked second with $550 million, while Jay Z is valued at $520 million, in third place. Cash Money co-founder Birdman is worth $160 million and ranked fourth, followed by 50 Cent, who is worth $140 million.

The 2014 American Idol summer tour has been announced. The 13 finalists from the Fox show will hit the road starting June 25 in Binghamton, NY and wind up in Redmond, WA on August 23.

Although it took Beck nearly six years to put out his latest album, Morning Phase, he may have another one ready to go by the end of 2014. "I've been working on and off on a different set of songs – they're more boisterous (than Morning Phase)," Beck said in an interview with KCRW/Los Angeles. "You're screwed with any kind of adjective, but hopefully we'll get it out this year." Meanwhile, the singer will play Coachella again this weekend, and he wraps the first leg of his Morning Phase tour on April 24 in El Paso, TX. The trek picks up again in June.

Athens, GA rockers The Whigs will release their fifth album, Modern Creation, next Tuesday, April 22. The band kicks off their tour in their home town this Saturday night (4/19), with dates announced up to June 21 in Nashville. Modern Creation is currently streaming here via Esquire's website, and the band debuted the video for lead single "Hit Me" earlier this week on Conan O'Brien's Team Coco website here.
