Arpril 28, 2014

Cumulus Media announces that Brian Thomas joins the company as Corporate Program Director and as Program Director of NASH FM/New York. Thomas comes to Cumulus from CBS, where he was most recently National Vice President of Classic Hits programming, Program Director of Country-formatted WQYK and Classic Hits WRBQ, and Vice President of Programming in Tampa. In his new position as Corporate Program Director at Cumulus, Thomas will focus on several formats, including Classic Hits. He will be based in New York City. This is a return to New York for Brian, as prior to his move to Tampa he programmed WCBS-FM, JACK-FM and WWFS/FRESH into the top 10 in New York City.

John Dickey, Cumulus Executive Vice President & Co-Chief Operating Officer, said, “Brian Thomas is an incredible programming talent and brings a successful track record in New York to NASH FM New York. His experience and credibility will be great assets to the creative and leadership capital that Cumulus is cultivating for the benefit of our audiences and customers.”

Mike McVay, Cumulus Senior Vice President of Programming, said, “Cumulus has some great programming minds and Brian brings a wealth of experience to our all-star team. We are thrilled to welcome Brian to our programming leadership group and to NASH FM in New York.”

Thomas said, “The opportunity to join the growth and innovation at Cumulus on the Corporate Programming team is really exciting, and I look forward to providing programming leadership and insights across a variety of formats. It’s a thrill to work with Lew and John Dickey, Mike McVay and Kim Bryant to continue developing NASH into a powerhouse national brand and building on the momentum and success at NASH FM New York.”
