April 29, 2014

CCM+E Hot AC WISX (Mix 106.1) Philadelphia announces the return of Chio In The Morning, beginning, Thursday, May 1. Chio, along with co-host Nicole, will host weekday mornings from 6-9:00 a.m. The show will include music from the 90's to now, entertainment news, fun topics and Chio’s signature “War of the Roses" segment.

Chio spent many years hosting the morning show at sister station Q102 (WIOQ) as well as WRDW in Philadelphia and several stations in San Diego.  He was the winner of the 2004 and 2010 award for “Best Local Morning Show in America” by FMQB.  Chio has awarded over $110,00 dollars to needy families in the Delaware Valley through his charitable foundation, “Chio’s Christmas Wish.” He has been a Big Brother with Big Brothers and Sisters of Camden, New Jersey

"Chio knows Philly inside and out and no one is more passionate about his listeners," said Brian Check, VP of Programming, CCM+E-Philadelphia. "We’re thrilled to have him back!"

"There are very few names in Philadelphia radio that bring instant smiles and have done so for some many years like Chio," said Richard Lewis, Market President, CCM+E-Philadelphia. "He is the Rocky of Philly Radio!  He's up, he's back and ready to fight to get people through their morning trip to work."

“I love this city and I’m amped to be back on the air in Philly,” said Chio.
