Jennifer Lopez To Release A.K.A. On June 17
May 5, 2014

Singer/actress Jennifer Lopez will release A.K.A., her tenth album, on June 17 via Capitol Records. JLo revealed the album info on Twitter earlier today. A handful of tunes have been revealed already, with "Same Girl," "Girls" and "I Luh Ya Papi" already going to radio. Just last week, Lopez premiered "First Love" during On Air with Ryan Seacrest.

"Music has always been my First Love... As a girl who grew up in the Bronx, I listened to everything," said Lopez. "In my career I have always made music that is a reflection of me… and where I am in my life...  I do what I feel …and do things that feel authentic to me. I am a lot of different things and I do a lot of different things. I love Hip Hop, Pop, Dance Music and R&B. And on this, my 10th album release, I have created a collection of songs that make me feel good and make me feel happy."

Additionally, Billboard announced that Lopez will be given its Icon Award at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards on May 18 in Las Vegas. JLo is set to perform "First Love" that night as well. "Jennifer Lopez is one of the most iconic performers of her generation," commented Larry Klein, producer of the Billboard Music Awards. "We are thrilled to honor her historic career with the 2014 Icon Award and will be on the edge of our seats like everyone else when she takes the stage."
