Cumulus Media announces that it has promoted John Gallagher to Regional Vice President, where he will oversee Cumulus’ station clusters in Appleton/Oshkosh, WI, and in Green Bay, WI. Gallagher will also lead Cumulus Appleton/Oshkosh as Market Manager. Gallagher replaces Tom Joerres, who has been acting as interim Market Manager for the Appleton/Oshkosh and Green Bay clusters. Gallagher was Vice President/Market Manager of Cumulus Toledo, and brings more than 20 years experience in radio management for some of the most well known stations in the country. He also managed sales teams at WJR and WRIF in Detroit, WLS in Chicago, and KCMO in Kansas City.

Jon Pinch, Executive Vice President and Co-Chief Operating Officer of Cumulus Media, said: “John has done great work for our company in Kansas City and Toledo. He doesn’t ride a desk; he’s out with clients and sellers daily, leading from the front. We’re fortunate to be able to add his skills and his experience to our solid Wisconsin clusters.”

Gallagher said: “I’m excited that Cumulus has offered me the opportunity to join a team of exceptional professionals in such an attractive region of the country. The team in Toledo has achieved many of our goals set for 2014 and they are positioned for a great year.”
