Soundgarden
This year celebrates the 20th anniversary of Soundgarden's release of their critically acclaimed fourth album, Superunknown, on A&M Records. The album has earned them 2 Grammys and sold millions world wide. On June 3, 2014 via A&M Records/UME, they will re-release the album in a variety of deluxe editions. The Deluxe Edition is a 2-CD package featuring the remastered album along with disc two consisting of demos, rehearsals, B-sides and more. The Super Deluxe Edition is a 5-CD package featuring the remastered album, additional demos, rehearsals and B-sides and the fifth disc is the album mixed in Blu-ray Audio 5.1 Surround Sound. The Super Deluxe Edition is incredibly packaged in a hardbound book with a lenticular cover, liner notes by David Fricke and newly reimagined album artwork designed by Josh Graham. It also features never before seen band photography by Kevin Westerberg. A 2-LP gatefold of the original 16 tracks remastered on 200-gram vinyl in a gatefold jacket will also be made available. In addition, the Superunknown singles and associated b-sides with newly interpreted artwork sleeves by Josh Graham was reissued on Record Store Day, April 19, as a set of five limited edition 10" vinyl records.

Earlier this year, while hosting a Reddit Ask Me Anything, Will Ferrell joked at the similarity between himself and Chad Smith. "It has been acknowledged many times that myself and Chad Smith, drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, share a resemblance to each other," he wrote. "A lot of people think that it's me playing for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. But that would be an insult to Chad Smith. The truth of the matter is there is no Will Ferrell. Only Chad Smith." Chad replied with "I've seen your skills," "You don't got 'em." resulting in a challenge of their musical skills. Ferrell accepted the challenge during another AMA on the condition that $300,000 towards the Cancer For College could be raised. The money was raised via an online fundraiser and the two are set to battle it out on May 22 on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
