Miranda Lambert, 50 Cent Debut In Top 10
June 11, 2014

Miranda Lambert
Country star Miranda Lambert nabbed her first-ever #1 album this week, with her fifth album Platinum landing atop the SoundScan sales chart. Platinum sold 180,000 copies, reports Billboard, the best sakes week of her career. Lambert appears on the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone and is only the 11th solo female Country act to reach #1. Of course, the last one to accomplish this was Taylor Swift.

The unstoppable Frozen soundtrack moves from #4 to #2 this week, followed by Brantley Gilbert at #3 with Just As I Am. Rapper 50 Cent has the only other top ten debut this week, with Animal Ambition at #4. It is Fiddy's first independent release after parting ways with Interscope, and his sixth top ten album.

Coldplay's Ghost Stories lands at #5, followed by the NOW 50 collection at #6. The newly re-issued Led Zeppelin albums Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II and Led Zeppelin III all landed in the top ten as well, coming in at #7, #9 and #10, respectively. The soundtrack to The Fault In Our Stars moves into the top ten at the #8 position.

Meanwhile on the digital singles chart, Iggy Azalea's hit "Fancy" remains at #1, while her collaboration with Ariana Grande "Problem" is at #2.
