RadioNow Morning Man Behind @HiddenCashIndy
June 18, 2014

Radio One CHR WNOU (Radio Now 100.9)/Indianapolis morning man Kyle Smelser of The Kyle & Rachel Morning Show went to Radio Now PD Leo Baldwin a couple weeks backs with an idea he had seen recently pulled off around the country. Only his intent, spread some good cheer throughout the city of Indianapolis and get a message across of “Paying It Forward!” With that, @hiddencashindy was born and quickly boomed to over 15,000 twitter followers in just days while also incorporating #HiddenCashIndy. The account was run anonymously at the time with a description that simply stated, "Lifelong Hoosier Wanting To Pay It Forward ** Hidden Cash All Over Indy ** Clues Daily ** Spread the Love ** Make Someone Feel Good Today!"

"The excitement that this created throughout our city was something truly amazing to watch!" Baldin tells FMQB.

On Wednesday morning (6/18) Kyle finally revealed to the city that he was the person behind the good will. Below is just a sample of some of the coverage this promotion received locally.

Kyle's open letter to listeners revealing who was behind @HiddenCashIndy and talking about how some of people who won money actually did "Pay It Forward!"

Kyle also invited several of the winners to the studio and said he was most proud that so many decided to heed his wish and "make someone smile."

Kyle told the IndyStar.com that he wanted to do something fun for Indy after a string of unfortunate news this spring, and "it snowballed into something greater than anyone could have expected."
