For the second year in a row, jācapps has been ranked as the second largest app developer in the state of Michigan, according to Crain’s Detroit Business. Based on total downloads, jācapps is the proud runner-up to Lochbridge (formerly Compuware). jācapps held the same rank in 2013, though its total number of downloads has grown significantly.

The company, founded in 2008, is a leading provider of mobile apps and digital strategy to the radio industry and has over 300 radio stations running its apps. jācapps has also moved  into other industry verticals, including health care and automotive. "As a small company, we are thrilled to be near the top of this list," said Bob Kernen, jācapps COO, "and the credit for that, goes to our terrific team. We have some of the best designers and developers in the business, and our client relations team from sale to set-up to support is outstanding."

"We are really proud to occupy this spot on the Crain's List again this year," commented company President Paul Jacobs, "We are also proud to be a part of the growing tech scene in Michigan, especially the many great companies developing technology products in the Greater Detroit area."  Continues Kernen, "It's only fitting that the region that gave the world the automobile, would play a major role in the next generation of mobility."
