Cumulus names Marvin Kopman VP and Market Manager of its seven-station cluster in Montgomery, AL. Kopman moves to Montgomery from Dayton, OH, where he was Director of Sales for Clear Channel’s eight-station cluster. He also spent 10 years with CBS in Tampa as Sales Manager.

iStreamMedia, LLC announces that its internet radio broadcasting division, iStreamMusic (http://www.istreammusic.com or via the iStreamMusic App for Android devices) will be making it's full official launch soon, but they're offering a sneak peak of a few music channels now. Immediately available for live streaming is iStream Active Rock, Classic Rock, The Hits (Top 40/Pop), Feel Good (Rhythmic AC/Top 40/Pop), Variety (Hot AC) and an affiliate station from RDSN – Radio Domination Streaming Network, KXTO The Outlaw (Country). iStreamMusic will be headed by Kevin Lee Pattky, Jr., iStreamMedia, LLC's EVP & COO, Co-Founder. Pattky adds responsibility as the GM and Lead Channel Programmer of iStreamMusic immediately.

A bipartisan coalition of five Members of the House of Representatives have signed on as co-sponsors of a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. With their co-sponsorship, there are 229 Members of the House and 15 Senators who have signed on to support the Local Radio Freedom Act. The Members of the House adding their support to the Local Radio Freedom Act are Joyce Beatty (OH-3), Bill Foster (IL-11), Jaime Herrera Beutler (WA-3), David Jolly (FL-13) and Derek Kilmer (WA-6).

Country WAMZ/Louisville announced today that its longtime PD and afternoon personality, Coyote Calhoun, will end his day-to-day radio career at the end of 2014. Calhoun has been with WAMZ for nearly 35 years. Beginning in 2015, he will serve as a Community Ambassador for the station, appearing at special events, the Kentucky State Fair, and the St. Jude’s Radiothon, a cause near and dear to his heart for decades. WAMZ will be announcing a series of community events commemorating Coyote Calhoun’s career over the coming months.
