Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Austin announced today that Jonathan "JR" Reed has been named Program Director for KHFI 96.7 (KISS FM) and KPEZ 102.3 (The Beat), effective July 28, 2014

JR will join Clear Channel Austin from WNOK in Columbia, SC, where he has served as Program Director, Music Director and On-Air Host for the Contemporary Hit Radio (CHR) station since 2010.  He will bring to Austin more than 15 years of experience, holding a number of programming and on-air positions in a variety of markets including Madison, WI; Tallahassee, FLA; and Richmond, VA.

"Thanks to JT Bosch, Pam McKay and Brad Hardin for this amazing opportunity as well as Alex Tear and John Ivey.  I can’t wait to move to Austin and work with the incredible staff at KISS and The Beat," said JR.  "I’ve heard so many great things about Austin and their loyal listeners.  Monday, July 28th can’t get here quick enough."

"We looked long and hard to find someone to take over KHFI and KPEZ, and I’m excited to welcome JR to the Austin cluster. JR has done an amazing job at WNOK and we couldn’t be happier with our choice," said JT Bosch, Vice President/Programming, CCM+E Austin.  "I cannot forget to thank Ryan Kramer for all his hard work as interim Program Director too. I see nothing but bright things for the future here in Austin."
