Zendaya Coleman recently dropped out of the upcoming Aaliyah biopic, but it was announced today that actress Alexandra Shipp now has been cast as the late singer. Oddly enough, the Lifetime film is replacing a Disney actress with one from the Nickelodeon stable of young actors. The news came from TV and radio host Wendy Williams, who is now on board as an executive producer of the movie, according to Spin.
FMQB sends its condolences to the family and friends to Rich Nichols, the longtime manager and mentor of TheRoots. Nichols had been suffering from leukemia.
