5 Seconds Of Summer Debut At #1, Announce 2015 Tour
July 30, 2014

5 Seconds Of Summer

Australian Pop act 5 Seconds Of Summer debut at #1 on the Billboard SoundScan chart this week with their self-titled, full-length debut. The group's She Looks So Perfect EP was released earlier this year. 5 Seconds Of Summer sold 259,000 copies in its first week, which was good for the fourth-biggest sales week of 2014. It also makes them the first Australian act to debut at #1 in the SoundScan era with their first full-length release.

5 Seconds Of Summer will be out on the road opening One Direction's upcoming arena tour, but have already announced a 2015 summer tour of their own. The "Rock Out With Your Socks Out" tour will kick off on July 17, 2015 in Las Vegas, with dates announced up to September 13, 2015 in West Palm Beach, FL.

The second-biggest debut this week comes from veteran rapper Common with Nobody's Smiling at #6. Rockers Crown The Empire debut at #7 with The Resistance: Rise Of The Runaways.

The Frozen soundtrack is at #2 this week, having now spent 31 weeks in a row in the top five. Last week's #1 artist, "Weird Al" Yankovic, sees his Mandatory Fun come in at #3. In The Lonely Hour from Sam Smith is at #4, followed by the newest Kidz Bop collection at #5. NOW 50 is at #8, followed by Jason Mraz with YES! at #9 and Ed Sheeran at #10 with x.

Country artist Jason Aldean has the #1 digital single this week with "Burnin' It Down."
