Paramore had to cancel two shows this week, as frontwoman Hayley Williams is suffering from illness and exhaustion. Their Monday and Tuesday night concerts in Corpus Christi and Dallas featured co-headliners Fall Out Boy topping the bill. In a letter posted to Paramore's website, Williams wrote, "Writing from my bunk to let you know that my doctor and my vocal coach have told me I can't play tonight either. I have a chest infection and ... Something called "exhaustion". Ha. Words in this tiny little message cannot begin to express my frustration, sadness, and overall loopiness (the latter is likely just from the cortisone and antibiotics...ugh.)" Paramore's next gig is tomorrow night (8/7) in Albuquerque.

It looks like Foo Fighters will reveal some details of their anticipated new album on Monday, August 11. The rockers tweeted yesterday to "keep an eye out for big news coming Monday!" There have also been multiple tweets teasing "1 of 8," which appears to suggest the first song released (or the first song on their new album) was recorded in Nashville. The Foos' new record is expected out in November.

Maroon 5 has been added to the lineup of the 2014 MTV VMAs, making their first-ever appearance at the annual Video Music Awards. The group's new album V is due out September 2 and the VMAs air August 24.

Mariah Carey has split with her manager, producer/songwriter Jermaine Dupri, who just became the Pop singer's manager in 2013. "Iím a very hands-on person when it comes to my work," Dupri told Billboard in a statement. "I put my all into every project. But when Iím not allowed to do what I do, then I know itís time for me to move on. Mariah and I enjoy working together and will continue to make great music together in the future." According to reports, Carey is working closely with Trey Songz's manager Kevin Liles.

Folk-rock duo The Civil Wars formally announced their breakup on Monday, after having gone on hiatus back in 2012. The pair of Joy Williams and John Paul White released a formal statement yesterday, coupled with their cover of the standard "You Are My Sunshine." The pair won four Grammys and released two albums, though they did not tour behind their 2013 eponymous release, which only Williams did promotion for.
