Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Miami/Fort Lauderdale announced today that Michael “Mud” Gross has been named Program Director for Classic Rock WBGG-FM, effective August 25.

As Program Director, Gross oversees all broadcast and digital operations of Miami’s BIG 105.9 (WBGG-FM). Gross has been Program Director at WNRQ-FM (1059 The Rock)/Nashville since 2005. Prior to that, Gross spent his radio career in Fort Myers, Orlando, St Louis, Baltimore and Atlantic City. Gross began his radio career at the University of Miami working the afternoon drive shift.

“Lebron out-Mud in! My 9 years running WNRQ (1059 The Rock)/Nashville have been amazing, but this is my dream job,” said Gross. “I’m coming home! So psyched to lead WBGG BIG 1059)/Miami into the future!”

“It’s an exciting time for BIG 1059!  Mud’s passion, expertise and leadership are certain to elevate BIG to new levels,” said Alex Tear, Miami’s Vice President of Programming.  “His track record and well-rounded skillset made him the exceptional choice to lead our team.”
