Republic Records has promoted David "Davey Dee" Ingenloff from National Director of Rhythm Crossover Promotion to Vice President of Rhythm Crossover Promotion, effective immediately. This announcement comes directly from Executive Vice President Charlie Walk and Senior Vice President, Promotion Gary Spangler.

Davey Dee will spearhead and execute crossover initiatives at rhythm radio, introducing and breaking pop and urban singles at the format in the process. He’ll direct the department’s efforts in order to effectively maintain and bolster the roster’s presence at rhythm. Current priorities include Ariana Grande, Jessie J, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Drake, and many more.

About this promotion, Walk states, “Davey continues to flourish as one of the iconic rhythm promotion executives. His relationships with artists, DJs, mixers, and the community gives him the edge over everyone else.”

Spangler agrees, "Davey's knowledge and influence at the Rhythm format is second-to-none. He has been an integral part of shaping our department to be the #1 market share leader it is today. He undoubtedly belongs at the helm."

Meanwhile, Davey Dee comments, “It’s an absolute honor to oversee this department. I’m looking forward to working closely with the incredible team we have in order to increase the profile of the entire roster at rhythm. I also want to sincerely thank Charlie Walk, Gary Spangler, and Monte and Avery Lipman for this opportunity.”

Davey Dee began his career at Motown Records in 1996. In 2000, he joined the team at London-Sire Records for two years before returning to Motown in 2004. 2011 saw him join Republic Records as National Director of Rhythm Crossover Promotion.
