CCM+E today announced a new and expanded long-term agreement with Mario Lopez, multi-platform entertainment personality and host of the Emmy Award-winning syndicated television program Extra. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. As part of the agreement, Lopez and his wife/co-host Courtney Lopez will continue hosting On with Mario Lopez. In addition, CCM+E will expand the successful iHeartRadio Countdown weekend program to reach Hot Adult Contemporary stations with Lopez as host. Beginning in September, Lopez and Courtney will welcome a different A-list artist or celebrity each week to count down the Top 20 Hot AC songs on iHeartRadio’s Ultimate chart.

Lisa Adams joins Hot AC KLCK/Seattle as its new PD. Adams, who most recently handle PD duties at Hot AC KCIX and AC KXLT/Boise, takes over for Maynard who is recently exited for a VP/Programming post with CCM+E.


At the 2014 MTV VMAS, Republic Records Co-Founder and C.E.O. Monte Lipman and Executive Vice President Charlie Walk celebrated the label’s success at the show alongside Viacom C.E.O. Philippe Dauman. Label artists took home a total of four top honors. Ariana Grande received “Best Pop Video” for “Problem” [f/Iggy Izalea], Lorde received “Best Rock Video” for “Royals,” and Drake received “Best Hip Hop Video” for “Hold On We’re Going Home” (f/Majid Jordan).


Milwaukee Radio Alliance Alternative WLUM (FM 102/) has officially named Ian McCain its afternoon personality and upped weekender Kelly Katona to evenings. McCain will also continue as Digital Program Director.

AC WWFW/Ft. Wayne welcomes radio vet Mike Scott for mornings. Scott was previously PD/afternoon host at Country WNNF/Cincinnati.

KMG Networks, a division of Krantz Media Group, along with VH1 Radio and AdLarge Media, will deliver exclusively produced radio programming and unique sponsorship opportunities associated with the Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards on Tuesday, November 4 at the Avalon in Hollywood, CA. This is the 10th anniversary of the Classic Rock Awards and the first time it is being held outside of the U.K. Sammy Hagar is set to host the ceremony. KMG Networks, in conjunction with VH1 Radio, is producing a wide range of exclusive radio programming, including live coverage from the red carpet and backstage. The 2014 Radio Show session titled The Magic – Radio's Storytellers will feature radio personalities Bob & Tom, Scott Shannon and Clark Howard discussing how talent can effectively and positively impact listeners. The Radio Show, held September 10-12 in Indianapolis, is produced by the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). The Magic – Radio's Storytellers panel takes place on September 10 and is being moderated by radio consultant Gary Berkowitz.
