Bad Boy Records is commemorating its 20th anniversary with a year-long celebration that includes a series of digital reissues. The label has just released digitally remastered editions of two of its landmark Hip Hop albums: The NotoriousB.I.G.'s Life After Death and Puff Daddy & The Family's No Way Out. The albums are available on the iTunes Store now. Moreover, a "Bad Boy Records 20th Anniversary" page on iTunes is showcasing some of the label's most significant singles, EPs, remixes, and videos, many of which are available digitally for the first time ever. Among the artists featured are Faith Evans, Mase, 112, Mario Winans, Craig Mack, Janelle Monáe, French Montana and Machine Gun Kelly.
Ty Dolla $ign has announced plans for a North American headline tour. The In Too Deep Tour will get underway October 1 in San Antonio and then travel through November 20 in Denver. Ty is also busy completing work on his debut album, titled Free TC, due out later this year via Atlantic Records.
Former My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way has announced some tour dates in support of his debut solo album, Hesitant Alien. The album comes out September 30, and the tour dates (so far) run from October 12 in San Francisco to October 23 in New York.
On November 4, Bob Dylan will offer fans The Basement Tapes, a recording of his legendary 1967 sessions that will encompass 138 tracks on six CDs, including 30 tracks that Dylan fans never knew existed. According to Rolling Stone, the previously unknown tracks include an epic rocker called "Wild Wolf;" an early draft of "I Shall Be Released" with slightly different lyrics; a cover of Hank Williams' 1949 classic "My Bucket's Got a Hole In It;" and country-fied versions of "Blowin' in the Wind," "It Ain't Me Babe" and "One Too Many Mornings."
