Impact Radio Group KWYD (Wild 101)/Boise adds Mike Adam to middays. Adam most recently of Clear Channel's WIOQ/Philadelphia will begin voice tracking middays on September 2nd. "Mike and I worked together at Clear Channel's WWVA/Atlanta while he tracked mornings and I served as APD/PM Drive." KWYD PD Kevin Cruise tells FMQB. "Mike's passion, knowledge, and skills in the format make him a formidable talent. We are extremely lucky and happy to bring Mike on board via the magic of voice tracking. He is a seasoned talent with an uncanny ability to understand digital, social, and speak to the audience."
Adam added, "I've known Kevin Cruise for quite a while now. He's not only a great programmer, but a great guy, so naturally I jumped at the opportunity to work for him again. Wild is a dominant force in the market, and I'm excited to be a part of it."
Cruise also tells us about the sad departure of APD/AM Drive host Tony Tecate who is heading to Hawaii. "Tony has been a great asset to Wild, and I have enjoyed every day we worked together. We have begun our search for the next AM Drive talent at Wild. We are looking for someone who will engage the community and listeners, work well with clients, be entertaining on the air, and understand the music is the star! The person who fills this position will understand that we are market 100, but act like market 10! The position may come with programming responsibilities, or eventually lead to programming responsibilities."
