Drake Leads BET Hip-Hop Awards with Eight Nods
September 4, 2014

Drake has been on a hot streak in 2014, and his big year continues with the 2014 BET Hip-Hop Awards. Drake leads the pack with eight nominations for Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year, MVP of the Year, Album of the Year, Hustler of the Year, Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse, and the coveted People's Champ Award. Jay Z, Future and Pharrell Williams each received six nods; while Nicki Minaj, Rich Homie Quan and YG garnered five nods each. Returning is the I Am Hip Hop Award, recognizing an individual who has made a profound imprint on Rap music and culture throughout the years.
