January 18, 2017
More performers have been added to the lineup for the 59th Annual Grammy Awards. In addition to Metallica, John Legend, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban will all play at next months' awards show. Hosted by James Corden, the Grammys will air on CBS on February 12.
A number of protest concerts have been announced in the coming days to combat Donald Trump's inauguration. The most notable one thus far features the reunion of Rock supergroup Audioslave. The band, made up of Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello, Tim Commeford and Brad Wilk, fronted by Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, has not performed since 2005. The lineup for the eclectic concert includes the ex-RATM members' current project Prophets of Rage, Jackson Browne and Jack Black, among others. The "Anti-Inaugural Ball" is set for this Friday, January 20 at Los Angeles' Teragram Ballroom.
Third Eye Blind will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their smash debut record with a summer tour. The veteran band will play their entire self-titled record, which featured "Semi-Charmed Life," "Jumper" and multiple other hits. Rockers Silversun Pickups are on board to open the "Summer Gods" tour, which runs from June 9 in Miami to July 23 in Berkeley, CA.
