Universal Music Group (UMG), the world leader in music-based entertainment, today announced a multi-faceted agreement with Emmy-winning, critically acclaimed music producer and CEO/Founder of KIDinaKORNER, Alex Da Kid.

Under the agreement, UMG and KIDinaKORNER will work closely together to develop opportunities that amplify Alex's work as an artist, producer and entrepreneur. In addition, Alex will have the opportunity to leverage UMG's industry-leading labels to maximize the success of his creative projects.

"Working together with Lucian, Boyd Muir and the great team at UMG, I'm truly proud of the unique and innovative deal we were able to construct. Our mission at KIDinaKORNER is to pioneer and evolve the traditional music and marketing business models," said Alex. "After speaking with many people about my vision for the future of the music business, I felt that Lucian and the UMG team understood it on a fundamental level and I'm truly excited about everything we will be doing together moving forward."

Sir Lucian Grainge, Chairman and CEO, UMG said, "UMG has become the premiere destination where innovative entrepreneurs are free to experiment, take thoughtful risks and expand the traditional role of a music company. Alex's track record of success and innovation make him the ideal partner to pursue the many exciting opportunities in music today."

Alex's numerous genre-defying hits include Grammy-nominated songs, "Love the Way You Lie" (Eminem featuring Rihanna) and "I Need a Doctor" (Dr. Dre featuring Eminem, Skylar Grey) along with Grammy Award-winning album, Recovery (Eminem) and chart-topping albums, Loud (Rihanna) and Night Visions (Imagine Dragons).

Alex brings an impressive history to UMG of producing breakthrough tracks and artists, having sold more than 100 million units, YouTube views surpassing 11 billion and achieving two diamond-certified singles. Throughout his prolific career, Alex has produced platinum singles for Eminem, U2, Rihanna, Dr. Dre and Nicki Minaj, and today continues to cultivate the careers of Imagine Dragons and X Ambassadors, among others.
