After seven great years heading up Entercom Country KKWF/Seattle, and launching and programming Rhythmic AC KHTP/Seattle, Mike Preston has decided to move on to his next chapter in radio. Mike will stay through the month and exit on February 28. Entercom Seattle VP/Programming Dave Richards will oversee both stations in the interim, through the search for the next leader of HOT 103.7 and 100.7 The Wolf.
“The great singer Sheryl Crow once said ‘A Change Would Do You Good’ and for me, that’s an appropriate theme song. That’s because after a little more than 7 years at Entercom Seattle, I’m ready for a change,” said Preston. “I’m very proud of what my teams have accomplished, making The Wolf the top country brand in the market and putting our newest brand, HOT 103.7, on the map in a big way. I’m grateful to Jack Hutchison, Dave Richards, Pat Paxton and Mike Moore for the opportunity to put country ‘under my belt’ and to pioneer the Classic Hip-Hop and R&B format.”
