Z90 "EPIC 48 2.0" Wraps, Includes Meeting Lady Gaga At The Big Game
February 15, 2017

Local Media San Diego Rhythmic CHR XHTZ (Z90) revealed all the details behind EPIC 48 2.0, a promotion driven by three key rules: 1) Be ready to leave at a moment’s notice, 2) Be ready to go ANYWHERE, 3) Be ready to do ANYTHING.  And one guarantee: THE most EPIC 48 Hours of your life.

Thousands of Z90 listeners called in and entered at epic48hours.com for the opportunity to win.

The epic adventure finally began Friday, February 3, when Z90 Morning Show host Rick Morton and a dozen runners, assistants and cast members, along with a convoy of vehicles descended to the home of listener Lauren Miranda in Paradise Hills, CA, to declare her the winner. Lauren and friend Ruby immediately embarked on an epic journey of adventure, luxury, entertainment, and money-can’t-buy experiences.

A full recap video was released at www.epic48hours.com highlighting the EPIC 48 2.0 final itinerary. In sequential order:

• Tandem skydive at Skydive San Diego in Jamul, CA.
• Pampering at Sente Bella MedSpa and Blowpop Hair in downtown San Diego.
• A personal stylist outfitted them in $10,000 of luxury jewelry diamond pendants and bracelets to flaunt for the weekend from Robbins Brothers.
• A private tour of the U.S.S. Midway Museum, and helicopter transportation to L.A. from Corporate Helicopters, launched off the deck of the aircraft carrier.
• Travel bags, products and items from Bloomingdales.
• A private dinner prepared by Executive Chef Jennifer Story from TV’s Chopped.
• Overnight stay in a cliff-side mansion in Malibu, CA.
• Private plane service from California to Texas and back.
• Shopping at the world-famous Allen’s Boots in Austin, TX.
• Suite accommodations at the W Austin and private table Red Room Lounge.
• VIP Tickets to the “Players Tailgate” hosted by celebrity chef Guy Fieri.
• Tickets to Super Bowl LI, and a personal “hangout session” with half-time performer Lady Gaga after her incredible performance.  Gaga personally gifted Lauren and Rudy with roses and Lady hoodies while the three visited in Gaga’s dressing room at NRG Stadium.

After 48 hours and travelling over 3,450 miles, the winners returned to San Diego to share the story of EPIC 48 2.0 with Z90 listeners during Morton in the Morning, on Monday.

“The first one was huge, and EPIC 48 2.0 has raised the bar again,” said Z90 Program Director R Dub!  “It’s a fun challenge to make the audience say ‘wow,’ but I think we lived up to the Epic name. There were so many moving parts and are so many people to thank, to all our partners and clients who helped I give a sincere thank you for making EPIC 48 2.0 truly an epic experience for Lauren and Ruby.”

“We are already in planning stages for Epic 48 3.0,” added R Dub!
