 Mariah Carey
| For the second week in a row, Mariah Carey's E=MC2 is the best selling album in the country. It sold another 181,889 copies, according to SoundScan, which pushes it well over the gold mark in just two weeks in stores. British singer Leona Lewis' Spirit also stayed put at #2 in its second week with 96,000 in sales. The big debuts this week came from musical comedy duo Flight Of The Conchords, whose self-titled debut bows at #3 with 52,000, and Ashlee Simpson's Bittersweet World, which debuted at #4 by moving over 47,000 units. Rapper duo Atmosphere scored their best sales and chart week yet with When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Sh*t Gold, coming in at #5 with more than 36,000 copies. Atmosphere's previous charting best came from 2005's You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having, which peaked at #66. This week's chart position and sales also mark the highest one-week totals in the 11-year history of Atmosphere's label, Rhymesayers.
The rest of the Top 10 was rounded out by the NOW 27 compilation at #6, the Juno soundtrack at #7, George Straight's Troubadour at #8, Taylor Swift's self-titled CD at #9 and Phil Vassar's new album, Prayer Of A Common Man, debuting at #10.
