Soulja Boy

Soulja Boy Tell'em will be back on December 16 with his sophomore album, iSouljaboytellem. The album is led by the single "Birdwalk," which fans can already check out on his MySpace page. Soulja Boy will be filming a video for the song on October 26 at Brown College in Atlanta. The new album features production from Mr. Collipark, Polow Da Don and Soulja Boy himself, according to Billboard.com. In other news, Soulja Boy recently inked a sneaker and apparel deal with Yum Shoes and will reveal the first line of the shoe in November.

Avenged Sevenfold and Buckcherry have added more dates to their co-headlining U.S. tour, which will extend into December. Shinedown and Saving Abel will serve as opening acts, as the trek now runs through December 3 in Orlando. As previously reported, Avenged had to skip the recently completed first leg of the tour because singer M. Shadows was suffering from vocal fatigue. Once the tour wraps, Avenged will play a handful of their own headlining gigs on the east coast in December.

The Foo Fighters' epic Wembley Stadium gigs from June have already been released on DVD overseas, and will be out in the U.S. on November 18. Foo Fighters: Live At Wembley Stadium will see release on DVD and BluRay and the show includes appearances from Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones on "Rock and Roll" and "Ramble On."

3 Doors Down will hold their 5th annual benefit concert for The Better Life Foundation at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Biloxi, MS on December 6. Additional performers for the concert will be announced at a later date. The mission of The Better Life Foundation is to make positive changes in the lives of local children, whether that be food, shelter or medical assistance. "To be able to be a part of The Better Life Foundation is truly a privilege for me," says guitarist Matt Roberts. "Over the past five years the foundation has been able to touch the lives of many along the Gulf Coast, my life included. I've truly learned what it means to give back to the community that has given so much to us. The annual benefit concert has been a great success and a joy to be a part of. This has simply been because of the people who have come out to support each year and enable us to continue to reach the goal of helping others."

Travis Barker has been released from the Grossman Burn Center in Sherman Oaks, CA. The drummer left the hospital last Friday, after receiving treatment for his injuries sustained in last month's fatal plane crash. Barker "will continue his recovery at home and is expected to fully heal from his injuries over the course of the next few months through treatment and rehabilitation," according to a statement, which adds that he "appreciates the loyal support of his fans and the media but respectfully requests privacy through the balance of his healing process."

Metallica is getting ready to head out in North America, but they've also announced a slew of European touring for next year. It's been over five years since the band has played arenas in Europe and they will begin on March 5 in Belgium. More dates will roll out over time but the schedule has Metallica overseas until July 23 in Lars Ulrich's native Denmark.

U2 will receive approximately $19 million in shares of Live Nation, as part of the Irish band's touring deal with the company. In an SEC filing late last week, Live Nation registered 1.56 million shares of the company to U2, according to Billboard. The U2 deal includes touring, merchandise and U2.com. The band is expected to release their long-awaited new album early in 2009, with a tour to follow.
