Fall Out Boy

Fall Out Boy broke the Guiness World Record for 'Most Interviews On Radio In A 24 Hour Period By A Pair Of Two' last Friday. Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump started at 3 a.m. in Los Angeles and spoke to 72 radio stations in one day. The previous record was 57 stations, set earlier this year. FOB will release their new album, Folie à Deux, on December 16. The band has announced a pair of tiny club shows coming up this week for their fans, with more to come. They will play Harper's Ferry in Boston on Thursday, November 6 and the North Star Bar in Philadelphia on November 7.

The latest rumors surrounding Led Zeppelin's possible return to the road have Alter Bridge singer Myles Kennedy performing with Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham. Billboard reports that Kennedy has rehearsed with the band multiple times. Billboard also reports that if Kennedy splits with Alter Bridge for Zeppelin, the other members of Alter Bridge would be free to participate in a potential Creed reunion. Meanwhile, Chris Cornell addressed rumors that he would be involved. "I have not been approached so far to fill in for Robert Plant on the upcoming Zeppelin tour, but that isn't to say I won't be," Cornell told MTV News. "I've heard that from about 200 people now, and it might be one of those situations where it's just an online rumor or it might be true. But if you see anyone from Led Zeppelin around, let me know. I think I should actually fill in for Jimmy Page on the Robert Plant/Alison Krauss tour."

The massive tower headquarters that U2 had been long planning to erect in Dublin has been shelved, due to the credit market's financial instability. Reuters reports that negotiations over the tower have been suspended up to 12 months. It was slated to include luxury hotel rooms, stores and an egg-shaped recording studio for the Irish superstars on top of the largest building in Ireland.

Maroon 5 will release a remix disc, Call & Response, on December 9. The album features remixes from Swizz Beats?uestlove, Mark Ronson, Pharrell Williams, Paul Oakenfold as well as indie rockers Of Montreal and Deerhoof.

On the Sirius Grateful Dead channel this week, Phil Lesh and Bob Weir will both perform live sets. Bassist Lesh will visit the station's studios for an interview and a live performance, airing this Wednesday, November 5. A live set by Bob Weir and Ratdog at the Klein Memorial Auditorium in Bridgeport, CT will also air this Sunday night. Both performances will be repeated multiple times on the Dead channel (channel 32).

Social Distortion and Motorhead will team up for the first Samsung Mobile Musink Tattoo and Music Festival in early 2009. Billboard reports the trek begins in San Francisco on January 30, but specific dates and cities have yet to be determined. Tattoo artist and cable TV star Kat Von D will also appear on the tour.

Frank Navetta, a founding member of pioneering Pop-Punkers the Descendents, has passed away. Navetta co-founded the group in 1979 and spent six years with them, co-writing their seminal record Milo Goes To College. He died on Halloween after a brief, sudden illness.

Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek released a new instrumental album earlier this year, along with guitarist Roy Rogers (not that one). Ballads Before The Rain includes two reinterpretations of Doors classics, including "Riders On The Storm," which is now nominated for Best Instrumental Pop Recording for the 2009 Grammys.
