Rihanna

The 35th Annual People's Choice Award nominees have been announced, with RihannaAlicia Keys, Chris Brown and Coldplay receiving multiple nods. Rihanna is nominated for Favorite Female Singer, Favorite R&B Song ("Take A Bow") and Favorite Pop Song ("Disturbia"). Keys is also a nominee for Favorite Female Singer, along with Favorite R&B Song ("No One") and Favorite Song from a Soundtrack (her duet with Jack White on "Another Way To Die"). Brown is up for Favorite Male, with nominations for "With You" as Favorite R&B Song and two nods for "No Air," his collaboration with Jordin Sparks. Coldplay is up for Favorite Group and Favorite Rock Song for "Viva La Vida." Kid Rock, Kanye West, Katy Perry and Maroon 5 are among the other nominees for the awards, which will be handed out on CBS on January 7.

Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Keidis' memoirs could be adapted into an HBO series, according to Variety. The show would be based on Keidis' book, Scar Tissue, and his unusual upbringing with his father, who lived on the fringes of Hollywood in the 1970s, selling drugs and attempting to break into show business. "He introduced me to the arts, to a more culturally magnificent life," Kiedis told Daily Variety. "But some of it was this heavy, adult matter that I wasn't quite capable of digesting. It was a very rich but kind of challenging period of my life. I was thrust into this adult mentality by age 11."

The TRL finale adds even more superstars, as Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and Travis Barker will all say goodbye to the MTV mainstay this Sunday night. Total Finale Live will also feature appearances from Kid Rock, Snoop Dogg, Nelly, Beyoncé and JC Chasez.

While Big Boi's solo record, Sir Lucious Leftfoot: The Son Of Chico Dusty, has been delayed into 2009, that could mean a plethora of Outkast material next year. Big Boi tells MTV News that while André 3000 is "working on his album; my album is done. We're gonna wait until the top of the year — January or February — to put it out. Then 'Dre is gonna come hit y'all, and [then] we're gonna do the Outkast album. So y'all gonna get three records from the 'Kast next year."

Beyoncé's take on Etta James' "At Last" leads the soundtrack to the upcoming film Cadillac Records, which tells the story of the Chess Records label. Mos Def, actor Jeffrey Wright and B's sister Solange all perform covers on the soundtrack, which arrives in stores December 2.

A biopic about the late Grateful Dead frontman Jerry Garcia is in the works, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Producers have acquired the rights to the Garcia biography Dark Star and music rights are being negotiated.

Billy Joel and Elton John are expected to team up again for another lucrative tour in 2009. John told The View yesterday that a tour could keep them on the road for "at least" two years. Billboard reports the trek would start with selected shows in March and May of '09, with more shows beyond that still to be determined.

Two more live Dave Matthews Band albums are on the way December 16. Billboard reports that Live At Mile High Music Festival and Live Trax Vol. 13 were both recorded this summer in Denver and St. Louis, respectively.
