Motley Crue will launch another round of touring in 2009, visiting at least 25 cities on an arena tour that will begin in San Diego on February 2. Billboard reports that Hinder, Theory Of A Deadman and The Last Vegas will open the Saints Of Los Angeles 2009 tour. The trek is slated to wrap in Portland, ME on March 18. Motley Crue is expected to tour Europe in June, with another Crue Fest on the way for North America in the summer of '09.50 Cent's new album, Before I Self Destruct, has been delayed from a December 16 release to sometime early in 2009. Interscope says that Fiddy was "rushing" to complete the record in time for its release, but now both he and the label will have more time for the marketing of the album. Early pressings of Before I Self Destruct will also include a DVD documentary about the late Jay Master Jay of Run-DMC, which 50 Cent executive produced.
Miley Cyrus will take over Sirius' Hits 1 Channel and XM's 20on20 Channel this weekend, as part of the teen Pop star's quest for global domination. Cyrus will host the Sirius Hits 1 Weekend Countdown! and Hi-Bound, and the 20on20 Countdown on XM, along with other appearances throughout the weekend.
The Fray will debut their new single, "You Found Me," via a unique partnership with ABC. Billboard reports that the song will debut as part of a promo for the new season of Lost during next Thursday's episode of Grey's Anatomy (the show that helped break the band). The ad will direct fans to ABC.com, where the music video will appear, along with a link to buy the single via iTunes. The song and band will appear in a series of ABC partnerships into 2009. The Fray's new album will be out early next year.
Kanye West reportedly had another run-in with a photographer, this time in England early today. TMZ reports that West had a scuffle with a member of the paparazzi outside a club in Newcastle, England and was then briefly arrested and released. West has also unveiled the complete track list for his new album 808s & Heartbreak, due out November 24, on his Web site.
Mark Hoppus gave MTV News an update on the status of his friend and sometimes-bandmate Travis Barker, who is still recovering from September's fatal plane crash. Hoppus said that the drummer is "doing as well as anyone can under such awful circumstances," and added that "He's home right now with his family, and he's healing and trying to stay as positive as he can. He's always been one of the most musically driven people I've ever known in my entire life, and he's still the same way. He can't wait to get back on the drums. He can't wait to get back in the studio, you know? I can't even imagine what he's had to go through these past weeks, and he's just trying to stay positive and get back in the studio and do good work."
Elvis Costello's talk show Spectacle will debut on the Sundance Channel on December 3, with executive producer Elton John as his guest on the first episode. Other notable guests include Bill Clinton (December 17), The Police (January 7) and Costello's wife, Diana Krall (February 18). Costello will also be appearing on Stephen Colbert's upcoming Christmas special, A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift Of All, on Comedy Central on Sunday, November 23.
